Yuuta was born in the Azim Steppe, though that's all he truly knows about his time there. He was abandoned for mysterious reasons, left at an orphanage with his little sister and twin brother. He knew nothing about them or their existence as they were adopted before him, memory failing to keep them close. As for him, he was left to continue to try and fit in and get along with the other children.
Upon reaching the age of seven, he was finally adopted by an Elezen couple. He was whisked away from his homelands to the Coerthas Central Highlands where he shelled up with the group known as the heretics. Being sheltered for his own good, he was rarely allowed to go out alone without the risk of being seen by the knights and killed on sight for his draconic appearance.
He grew up learning essential combat. While his mother and father preferred to use swords, shields and lances, he found he was much more talented wielding an axe. Perhaps that was in part to his heritage, but he had no clue nor would he discover if it was the truth or not.

It wasn't until he was around fifteen that he picked up his gun. Learning how to shoot, training hard to never miss his target, he became a well-known sharpshooter. Satisfied with his own accomplishments, he finally was permitted to leave his home, saying his temporary goodbyes to his loving parents and the folks he called friends and family. He began his adventures in to the Shroud on his own, finding it to be the fastest way out of the frozen lands he resided in for years.
Shortly after, the Xaela began taking on bounties for Grand Companies via their hunt targets. Finding a knack for taking care of large targets, Yuuta found himself seeking out greater challenges; bounties being offered by people in underground areas or back alleys offered more than he could have imagined. Slowly but surely, he found himself working as what was at first simple mercenary work. Find the target, which was usually a beast, take it out, and collect money. Sometimes it was an escort to safety job. He did anything for gil.

The bounties turned in to harder targets. Instead of beasts, he found himself taking down people, usually criminals. Making it a personal code, he vowed never kill another person unless it was for money. The reason didn't matter, but if he was being paid he didn't care too much. His title shifted from mercenary to assassin before he knew it.
His life remains steady, despite his job. He keeps everything locked up and in secret, not one to share details about his career other than the fact that he owns a café and works at a few other places. Prying anything out of Yuuta is damn near impossible as many of his friends and family have tried. One would never think he's deadly unless they were told.
Changes have happened drastically, and quickly, in the Au Ra's life. It's been one disaster after another, the darkness within him that he struggled to fight slowly embraced. His appearance changed against his will, skin drained to appear almost lifeless. His aether is potent, far different than before. His personality remained mostly the same after the change but he still is different. Whether it's a good or bad thing, no one knows for certain, but he's still doing his best.

Searching for someone without proper information is always a hard thing. You need to find someone, somehow, but don't know where to begin. Either through connections or seeking him out in a venue/bar, Yuuta can use his resources and skills to help find whomever (or whatever) you're looking for.

Word got to you about The Dark Forest Café and its owner being a large Xaela who has a secret passion for cooking. Either bumping in to the man himself or visiting his restaurant, you get the chance to interact with the awkward man about food. Isn't that exciting? His special is really good, too.

A first meeting, a glance, however you've met him... if you can see someone's aether, you know something odd about his. What it is, you can't really tell and asking him about it is sure to get on a shit list. It's something you'd really have to talk to him and get to know him for, but with such a color... is it worth the risk?

A friend and partner he hadn't thought he'd ever have.
Yuuta met Panthea through a café that he and Jade had frequented many times. The two, at first, conversed very little until they had kept running in to each other. Finally, after some convincing, he agreed to have lunch with her and they ended up bonding over odd habits and odd experiences.
She's pretty good at figuring out things he keeps hidden. Just as he helps her out when needed, she does the same.
Pan's been there when he needed someone the most, persistent and patient with his behavior, always willing to be there and hold his hand.
Jade Light

Yuuta's best friend and partner in crime... well, until Jade retired.Jade was the first person he had met when he left his home.The Miqo'te saved him when he was helplessly lost, helping him get his footing in the foreign areas.He had also helped Yuuta in terms of getting in to bounty hunting with the Grand Companies and joined him when the bounties "got tough."Jade has since retired, now happily living with his husband.
Nox Bulric

The two had met when they were both younger, him fresh in the Shroud and her struggling to wield a bow. Helping her to learn how to fend for herself, the two had then parted ways.
Fate brought them back together a few short years later and, Yuuta finally having the courage to ask, went on a date. The two wed a year or so later, however they slowly found themselves drifting apart due to different lifestyles. Their romance was no longer, however the two realized they still felt that familial bond.
Yuuta now tries his best to be a sibling to Nox in place of what once was. He will always look out for her.

Meeting Dilianos upon the same fateful day with Panthea, he had taken a little while to befriend him.Yuuta's always on guard, and knowing that Dilianos was not only from the same general area as him but the exact city that would have slaughtered him for what he was prior to the Dragonsong war, he was wary.Of course, all of his fears were pushed aside as the two interacted more, becoming lifelong comrades.It's like they say:

A colleague from the Scarlet Manor, the two talked a good many times. Yuuta was wary at first, as usual, when it came down to talking to new people, but he eventually agreed to spend time with the Miqo'te outside of work.After getting a nice late night dinner and some coffee, the two continued to talk and spend time together until an eventual relationship blossomed.They share many things in common including their love for books, something that Yuuta could enjoy for hours. Even in silence and a book in both of their hands, if Caelum is with him, Yuuta's happy.

The Xaela learned a lot from them, including that he could trust them if he ever needed help.Thedis had saved Yuuta's life once already and while that was already one too many, he knows that if he's ever stuck in a situation that he needs medical aid from he could call on them for help.Yuuta keeps himself loyal to Komorebi thanks to this, happy to help wherever he is needed.
